Sushant Singh Rajput Death: Actor’s Ashes To Be Immersed In The Ganges In Patna: Reports

As per reports on the Internet, Sushant Singh Rajput’s ashes will be immersed in the Ganges, in Patna. The funeral took place today at the Pawan Hans Crematorium, Mumbai, and was attended by Vivek Oberoi, Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma, among others

Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise was a huge loss to not only the film fraternity but also the whole country as everyone is still reeling under the shock of this news. His final rites were done at the Pawan Hans Crematorium near Vile Parle, today, for which the family members also flew down from Patna. The actor’s father along with a few other members were spotted in the morning at Mumbai airport. Apart from the family members, celebrities such as Vivek Oberoi, Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma, among others also attended the funeral.

There have been reports that the actor’s ashes will be taken back to Patna, and will be immersed in the Ganges. According to a Bollywood life report, Sushant’s mother had also died in Patna and now, it looks like the final immersion will happen there, in Patna.  The actor came from Purnea in Bihar and his paternal family hailed from Patna. Last year, he had visited his hometown for a mundan to fulfill a mannat by his mother at the Manasa Devi Temple.

 The actor was very rooted in his traditions and proud of it. Also, the people of Bihar loved him for his philanthropic work in the region and was a youth icon for the people there.


Sushant Singh Rajput was last seen in Netflix film Drive with Jacqueline Fernandez, and before that, in the film Chhichhore along with Shraddha Kapoor. The actor started out doing television shows such as Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil and Pavitra Rishta, and made his Bollywood debut with Kai Po Che.
